SL Tech WRITING REBRAND

I was lucky enough to work with one of those rare clients: one who already had a clear sense of what they wanted.

My client works in a niche area: tech writing for technology
companies and startups.

While most of their clients came through word of mouth, my client wanted to keep expanding their client-base.

They had worked with designers before, and came to our first meeting with notes and some rough logo ideas.

After reviewing the current brand, it was clear that the goal was not
to create something entirely new, but to expand and refine what already existed. We needed a design system flexible enough to adapt across print and digital mediums.

From my client’s work, I was able to identify specific assets and elements that could work well, such as a reference logo that included the developer icons </> used when writing a line of code. I began moodboarding and creating concepts with this in mind, while also considering their other requests, including incorporating their initials
in the logo and keeping it simple, flexible, and clear enough to be
‘put on anything’ and remain legible.
